Tuition Scholarships

There are two types of scholarship opportunities available for students at ACA: Tuition Tax Credit Scholarships and the Empowerment Scholarship (ESA). Both of these scholarships are administered by entities outside of ACA and have their respective pros and cons. Please call or email us in the school office for more information.

Tuition Tax Credit Scholarships

Tuition tax credit scholarships are scholarships that are administered by School Tuition Organizations (STOs). Donors who have a tax liability in the state of Arizona can donate to these STOs and get a dollar for dollar tax credit off of their state tax liability. Parents of students in private schools can then apply with one or more of these STOs in order to receive scholarships from the funds that have been donated. We work closely with the following STOs (click on the links for more info and to apply):

ACSTO
Arizona Private Education Scholarship Fund
Arizona Leadership Foundation

Arizona Tuition Connection
School Choice Arizona
Institute for Better Education (IBE)
AAA Scholarship Foundation

We highly recommend all Arizona residents participate in making a donation to the STO of their choice in order to take advantage of the tax credit benefit. By doing so, they are not only saving money that they would otherwise owe in taxes, but they are also supporting Christian education. When donating, please remember to recommend the funds for a particular student enrolled at ACA or for ACA itself.

Arizona Empowerment Scholarship (ESA)

ESA is a scholarship administered by the Arizona Department of Education (ADE) whereby the state issues funds to parents to be used for educational costs. The only qualification is that you are an Arizona resident. Once you have applied, the ADE will send you a contract that you will need to sign and return to them. They will then set up a ClassWallet account for you to access the funds and make payments to ACA. For more information and to apply, go to azed.gov/esa.
